I rated this book 5/5 stars.
Ms. Colleen Hoover has done it again! This book is so engaging from the very first page. This book follows Graham and Quinn as they meet under unfortunate circumstances. It alternates between past and present chapters labeled then and now as both characters begin to fall in love and the now chapters are them fighting for their marriage. There is a major trigger warning for fertility issues, so If that is a hard topic to read about then I highly advise you to skip this book. I really enjoyed watching both Graham and Quinn falling in love with each other. I think Colleen added depth to the story by also following the characters into years of marriage because most romance books end after the characters fall in love and get married. This book has great representation of how you can love someone, but you have to actively fight for more than love for a marriage to work. It was truly heartbreaking and invigorating to read what these characters had to go through and the love that they had for each other was honestly insightful. Lets focus on Graham for a quick moment. The love Graham had for Quinn would make anyone want a Graham for themselves. By no means was Graham a perfect character, but he had so many qualities of a man that genuinely wanted to fight for his marriage through the bad and the ugly. This book truly revolved around Graham and Quinn’s journey. Some books can focus too much on other character, but Graham and Quinn were at the forefront of this story. As the reader we got to experience the happy, sad, ugly, and emotional moments of this marriage and relationship and I think Colleen nailed it. I highly recommend you pick up this book if you want a painful yet inspiring read.
